Inventory: staying in sync across the store

Share:

Stock errors silently steal margin. Here is how to think about inventory in MASAR POS—on-hand quantities, transfers, and physical counts—so your system matches the shop floor.

Inventory is the bridge between what you think you have and what you can sell. MASAR POS supports movements, transfers, receiving against purchase orders, and counts (where enabled).

Golden rule

Every physical move of stock should have a matching system document (transfer, adjustment, or receiving)—otherwise reporting and replenishment will drift.

Transfers between branches

Use documented transfers when goods move between stores. Confirm receiving at the destination branch.

Counts

Cycle or full counts realign on-hand quantity with reality. Investigate variances with clear reasons.

Alerts

Use low-stock signals as reminders paired with realistic lead times—not as a substitute for floor walks.
